Celebrating our local culture, we brewed a summer ale using a spice and sugar found in many Mexican desserts. Flower Child incorporates dried chamomile flower, piloncillo sugar, and lemon zest to make a dark-colored but light drinking ale. This “dark shandy” has a light refreshing body, bright citrus aroma, chamomile flavor, and the complexity of the unrefined piloncillo. On a hot Texas day, mix it half-and-half with carbonated lemonade for a twist on a “radler”. Any way you enjoy it, we say cheers and thanks for trying Flower Child!
