Our Story

Welcome Friends!

Like many Brewery Beginnings, it all started when Founder and Owner, Seth Weatherly submerged himself in the new beloved hobby of Home Brewing. Seth found a much needed creative outlet in home brewing and worked at it to create and curate recipes that highlighted each brew through real and artisan ingredients.

One of his first successful home brews started the Five Stones Journey and has stayed with us for over 11 years now, “Aloha Piña”. He took this successful home brew to a local tap-house bottle exchange and was greeted with strangers intriguingly asking him where they could buy this brew and where exactly his brewery was. Walking away encouraged with the embrace and interest of strangers, Seth decided to feed his entrepreneurial spirit and start a brewery.

In the year of 2012, Five Stones Artisan Brewery first began in a small and humble unit located in an industrial park in Cibolo, Texas. At this location, we were not yet opened to the public but spent our days brewing, packaging and distributing. We would open our doors up a couple times a year to the public for large events like our Anniversary and a Veterans Celebration.

With mostly family and a couple hired hands to get the jobs done, this gave us an opportunity to see if our brews would make it in such a large and ruthless industry. After 3 years we were encouraged to see growth and continued embrace of our small little family brewery.

We began our search in 2015 for a new location to fit the growth we were seeing and to provide an inviting space for our customers to come by and share life with us. In 2016 we found the 19 Acre property we now sit on, 11335 FM 1863, New Braunfels, Texas. We began the feat of building our “brew-stead”, doubling our brew system size, and laying down roots for the long haul. We opened our doors to the public for the first time in November of 2017!

Since then, we have worked hard to continue to fine tune our craft and curate a space where our community is welcomed, comforted and served well.

We hope you can make it out to join us over an artisan brew!

Cheers & Much Love
